Beccy McGlinchy
English Teacher, Wife, Mother, Pastor’s Wife, Writer
I wear a lot of hats in my life that require me to sacrifice myself for the sake of others. I have been married to my awesome husband, Reverend Garry McGlinchy, Jr. for over twenty years, and together we have been blessed to raise our adult son, Tate, who is on the Autism Spectrum. Garry and I have partnered together in ministry in various churches throughout the United States, starting first in youth ministry and recently leading Culpeper Hope Community Church of the Nazarene in Northern Virginia. Now we are located in southern Colorado, being available for our family.
At eight years old, I knew that I wanted to be a high school English teacher. I love reading and writing and the way that reading can help create a place of escape in difficult times. As a writer, I focus my attention on the ways in which faith intersects our very complicated world, drawing on my experience as a teacher, a wife, a mother, and a pastor’s wife. I write about literature, movies, TV shows, political issues, and mental health.
Join me on my journey as I explore living sacrificially for God and others.
